Autumn is gentle and golden, the gardens shifting to warm tones, the light lowering, the crowds thinning. The mild climate keeps the gardens vivid well into fall, an underrated window with more solitude.
Winter is the mildest in Canada, green and often flowering while the rest of the country is under snow, the coast dramatic with storms. The only place in Canada that offers a green garden-and-coast elopement in deep winter.
