The day follows the light
The forest interior works in flat overcast at any hour; the coast and seawall are strongest at golden hour. A common structure is forest and ceremony first, then the coast for sunset, with buffer for rain and for travel between the city and the North Shore.
The sequence I run
Confirm the day first, then the officiant, then lodging, then flights, then details. Reverse it and every later booking compromises the last.
My part: I plan the sequence, book the vendors, file the permits across the Park Board, West Van, North Van, and Metro, and both photograph and film the day. Twelve years and 240+ couples in, the couples who let it run in order found it calm.
