A Playa Norte Elopement on Isla Mujeres

Powder-white sand, calm luminous shallows you can wade into forever, and the longest golden hour in the Cancun area. The quintessential Caribbean beach ceremony.

Couples chase the busy Cancun beaches for a Caribbean ceremony.

A twenty-minute ferry away is the beach that was made for it.

Playa Norte gives you calm luminous shallows and the longest golden hour in the whole Cancun area, at a scale a resort beach never will.

Why Playa Norte works

At the northern tip of Isla Mujeres, powder-white sand meets calm, shallow, impossibly turquoise water you can wade into for what feels like forever. It is ranked among the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, and it earns it.

The longest golden hour

The beach faces west, which gives it the longest unobstructed golden hour in the Cancun area. A barefoot ceremony in the glowing shallows as the sun drops is the quintessential Isla Mujeres image, and I build the whole day around that window.

As your Elopement Curator I plan the day, arrange the beach permission and the vendors, coordinate the symbolic ceremony, and both shoot and film it, photo and video in every tier. Twelve years and 240+ couples in, Playa Norte is the Caribbean at the scale an elopement actually wants.
