The reef
For certified divers, a symbolic ceremony can happen underwater on the Mesoamerican reef: weightless above the coral, surrounded by fish, exchanging vows in the blue silence. It is surreal and rare, requiring dive certification and a symbolic ceremony with the legal marriage handled on land.
Choose the beach for accessible calm, the reef for a surreal underwater rarity, or do both across a day.
