Moraine Lake, Banff National Park · Late Summer 2025
James & Carrie
Carrie got dressed in a cabin before the sun cleared the ridge, and the first half of the day happened through the veil: an eye behind the mesh, his face in a gap in the tulle, a prism of colour thrown across her cheek. James saw her for the first time through a spruce bough with the lake already going turquoise behind him. After the vows they took a boat out while the fog was still burning off, and one ray came down through the trees and laid itself across the water at a moment nobody could have booked. Sixteen frames, most of them shot through something.
