They opened the day at Bow Lake, on the boardwalk, while the water was still flat enough to hold Crowfoot Mountain upside down. Ten minutes further up the Icefields Parkway they said their vows on the rock above Peyto, with a handful of people watching and an officiant in a cowboy hat holding the folder. Anna wore white boots under the tulle because the walk out to that rock is loose gravel the whole way and nobody has ever managed it in heels. The bouquet was orange and cornflower blue, the two colours that hold their own against a turquoise lake. Fourteen frames, one afternoon, no second shooter.
