English gardens, ocean light, and the quietest kind of beautiful.

Arman’s take

Victoria is the city I recommend to couples who want British Columbia's beauty without Vancouver's scale. It is intimate, unhurried, and visually extraordinary — the Butchart Gardens alone could anchor an entire editorial session, and the coastline from Dallas Road in late afternoon is some of the best natural portrait light I have found in Canada. The architecture of the Inner Harbour has an old-world quality that photographs in a completely different register from the rest of the Pacific Northwest. I make the ferry crossing from Vancouver for Victoria weddings without hesitation. The city earns it every time.

Light & atmosphere

Victoria's position on the southern tip of Vancouver Island gives it more sunlight hours than the mainland, which means golden hour tends to arrive reliably and last longer. The combination of ocean backdrop and historic stone architecture gives every portrait session two completely different visual environments within a short walk.

Questions

Frequently Asked

Is travel included in the price for Canadian weddings?+

Yes — for weddings in Canadian metro areas (Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Victoria), travel is included in the package price. No surprise fees.

How much does wedding photography cost?+

Packages start around $3,000–$4,000 CAD for intimate coverage and go up depending on hours, add-ons, and whether you want video or an album. I share exact numbers on a discovery call so we can match the right package to your day.

How far in advance should I book?+

For prime summer Saturdays, 12–18 months ahead is ideal. For weekdays, off-season, or shorter notice, reach out anyway — I often have availability.

What does a typical package include?+

Full-day coverage, a private online gallery, and a sneak peek within 5 days. Engagement sessions, video, and albums are available as add-ons. We customize everything on the discovery call.

What is your photography style?+

I shoot in two modes simultaneously: editorial and film-inspired (deliberate, directorial, print-worthy) and documentary (quiet, present, authentic). Every album gets both — because your day deserves both.

Do you offer engagement sessions?+

Yes, included in most full-day packages. It is a chance to build rapport before your wedding day and for you to feel natural in front of a lens.

How many photos will we receive?+

Typically 500–700 edited images for a full day, delivered in a private gallery within 6–8 weeks. Volume varies by day length and coverage.

Do you offer wedding videography?+

Yes, as a cinematic highlight film add-on. Available as a standalone or bundled in luxury packages. We go through options on the discovery call.

How do I inquire and book?+

Fill out the inquiry form and I will reach out to schedule a discovery call. A 30% retainer secures your date once we have confirmed the fit.
