Montréal
A complete companion to marrying in Montréal: every venue, every vendor, every figure, in one place.

Montréal marries like nowhere else on the continent. French romance laid over cobblestone and cast iron, a river that turns gold at nine o'clock in July, and a calendar of festivals the whole city already knows how to celebrate.
I have photographed weddings here in every season: Old-Port rooftop ceremonies at golden hour, Mont Royal first looks with the skyline below, winter elopements in Mile End lofts. This is the ground I know, gathered for couples building the day from scratch.
The Directory
Everything I have filed about marrying in Montréal, organized by what you are trying to figure out. Read the full guide first, then come back for the specific pieces that answer the questions that come up as you plan.
Real Weddings
Four full days from my archive in Montréal, written the way I remember them: the light, the order of events, what the couple did not know was about to happen. Open any card to read the full story.
The Ledger
Most Montréal wedding budgets start from a single number someone heard at a bridal show and turn out to be wrong. This builds one from the ground up: your guest count, venue tier, season, photography, and florals together. The result is an honest planning estimate, not a wish list.
Likely between $55,450 and $69,000

The Timeline
The thing most couples do not know about planning a Montréal wedding is how fast the calendar fills. This is the order I walk every couple through, counted backward from the date. The most important step is the first one: the venue and the photographer go before everything else.
Lock the date and the room
Book your venue and your photographer first. Good Saturdays in peak season go a year out, and your photographer fills on the same timeline as your venue.
Assemble the core team
Planner or coordinator, caterer, and officiant. Every other vendor decision cascades from these three.
Style and season decisions
Florals direction, attire, and the look you want the season to give you. September light is different from June, and both are different from February.
Logistics and paperwork
Permits for Old Port outdoor ceremonies, transportation, bilingual ceremony script, and guest travel.
The final walk-through
I walk your ceremony route with you and chase the light at the exact hour you will marry. This is where the portrait plan gets locked.
Be present, be quiet
Your only job is to live it. I bring the city home with you.
The Company I Keep
These are the people I work alongside every season in Montréal. I have introduced couples to every name here and vouched for them directly. If you want a warm introduction to any of them, mention it when you write and I will make it happen.
I work alongside the city's best every season. Ask and I will make warm introductions to the planners, florists, and musicians I trust.
Questions
The questions I hear most often from couples planning a Montréal wedding, answered plainly. If yours is not here, it will be in my first reply when you reach out.
From the Journal
Longer reads for couples who want to go deeper. Wedding venue breakdowns, light guides, what to look for in a photographer. Read one and the next one is usually obvious.
